Westside High School:  14201 Briar Forest Drive, Houston, TX  77077

Exit Addicks (Hwy 6) south from I-10.  Turn left at light on Briar Forest, 1 block to high school.

Enter from the back of the school.

WHO
USA Wrestling Sanctioned Tournament. Age/Weight Divisions as per USA Wrestling 2003 guidelines.

 

HOW MUCH

$15 per wrestler for 1st style, $30 for both styles, nonrefundable.

 

HOW

No pre-registration required. Registration at weigh-in. Wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling card.

Pre-Register to avoid the lines.  Send your Name, Team or School, Age, DOB, and USA Card # to RBurns@Houston.rr.com.

 Your completed card will be waiting for you at a Pre-Registered Table.

USA Wrestling Cards can be purchased at the door, $35.

 

WEIGH IN

All wrestlers will weigh in. Wrestlers must weigh in wearing a singlet.

Freestyle/Greco Roman weigh-in:  Friday, June 20 – 4:00-6:00PM

If you do not compete and/or complete Greco matches, you MUST weigh in on Saturday!

If you default your Greco matches, you will be required to re-weigh on Saturday!

                    Freestyle only weigh-in:  Saturday, June 21 – 7:00-8:00AM

 

WRESTLING

Greco Roman wrestling will start at 7:00 PM on Friday June 20th.  We will wrestle until 10:00 PM.

Greco Roman will resume at 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 21st and run until finished.

Freestyle wrestling will begin within 1 hour of finish of all Greco matches.

Red/Blue singlets encouraged, but not mandatory.  No tights are allowed.

 

WHY

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each weight class and age group.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in Cadet and Junior divisions qualify for Texas National Team.
